Clary sage is an essential oil that is commonly used during labour and birth. It's also traditionally used to soothe period pain. 
 
For use during labour:
Diffuse it into the air (ensure there are no other pregnant women in the area).
Place a few drops on to some material and inhale as necessary.
To use as a massage oil, blend 2 drops with one teaspoon of carrier oil (eg. coconut, olive).
 
Warnings:
· Do not use before 37 weeks of gestation as it induces contractions of the uterus and may cause miscarriage
· Do not use directly on the skin
· Keep out of reach of small children
